  • Private Hire at Helm

When choosing a venue for an event you’re planning, an art gallery might not be the first option that comes to mind. However, at Helm, we now offer our gallery spaces for private hire. So, in addition to attending the exhibitions and events we host, you can now hire the art gallery for your own private events. Our gallery and exhibition spaces are the ideal solution for a wide range of different events, and you can host your special occasion surrounded by artwork from incredible artists, creating an unforgettable experience for your guests.

The Perfect Venue for Any Occasion

Our limited-edition prints and sought-after original pieces provide a unique backdrop for a variety of events. At Helm Gallery, the possibilities are endless and the versatility of our gallery space makes it an ideal choice for a range of occasions.

We provide a space for corporate, team-building or networking events that inspire creativity and innovation. Our gallery also offers a stylish and memorable setting for social gatherings with your friends and family. Additionally, if you’re planning a book launch, the gallery is an ideal venue to introduce your word to the world.

Naturally, the gallery lends itself to art-related events such as artist talks and workshops; having exclusive use of the space provides the perfect setting for engaging discussions and immersive artistic experiences. Regardless of the event, our art gallery in Brighton is a versatile space that ensures a memorable experience for your guests.

Two Floors and a Bar Area

At Helm, we have a few different areas that could be suitable for your event. Our gallery spans two floors, providing ample space for your guests. Our ground floor is home to carefully selected works of art, there is a range of seating options and it is fully accessible from street level. Downstairs is our exhibition hall that’s typically used for shows and classes, it’s a vast space that can be transformed into the ideal setting for a variety of events. You can book either floor or have the entire gallery to yourself, ensuring privacy and exclusivity.

Unlike other traditional art galleries, we also have a bar and coffee area. This is ideal for providing refreshments to your guests and our team will make sure everyone has a drink in their hand. We offer a vast selection of craft coffee, spirits, wine, beer and champagne. We also have a great cocktail menu, so there’s something for everyone. Our team can even create a tailored drinks package to suit your event, adding a personalised touch to your celebration.

On the bar, we have a choice of snacks that can be provided for guests, and if you are looking for something more substantial we work closely with a high end caterer who can design a menu for you.

    Why Choose an Art Gallery?

Choosing an art gallery as the venue for your event offers lots of benefits. This unique setting provides a creative and sophisticated environment that’s guaranteed to impress your guests from the moment they walk through the door. The artwork on display will be a conversation starter, making it easier for guests to mingle and interact. Of course, you won’t need to decorate either as our collection of local artists will fill the walls.

Well placed in the centre of the city, Helm has lots of easy public transport links nearby. There are a number of public carparks within walking distance to Helm, and Brighton train station is also just an 8 minute walk away.

Our experienced team will be on hand to make your event as special as possible. In addition to providing customisable packages to meet your specific needs, we can help with everything from seating arrangements to music, ensuring every detail is taken care of. We will work closely with you to turn our art gallery into a space that exceeds your expectations.
