Helm Art Gallery in Brighton – what to expect

Share

  • As a new art gallery in Brighton opening our doors in 2023, we’re full of exciting ideas for the coming years – so we thought we’d give you a little insight into some of our plans.

With over 10 years of combined experience working in art galleries across the UK, our team have been inspired by all kinds of art, artists and exhibitions, culminating in a commitment to showcasing a wide range of visual delights for visitors to feast their eyes upon.

A journey through the world of art

We aim to cater for all tastes and styles at Helm Art Gallery. Brighton itself is busting at the seams with creativity, so we’ll be providing a platform for up-and-coming local artists, as well as new names from around the globe. Alongside tapping into this talent, we’ll also celebrate well-known, established artists across a range of styles, formats and mediums.

From contemporary to collage, street art, graffiti and abstract to figurative, whatever your taste, we’ll have something to whet your appetite for art when you join us at Helm. Our featured artists always have something special to show, whether in the form of large canvas paintings, print works, sculptures, books or interactive installations.

    Exhibitions and events

We want to ensure that our appreciative audience can head back to Helm anytime and have something new to see in our art gallery. Brighton locals who want to stay involved in the art scene can expect rolling exhibitions and installations from individual artists and open-call shows ranging from 2-6 weeks. For visitors from out of the area, it may also pay to keep an eye on our events page, just in case we have something in the pipeline that you want to plan your visit around.

While you’re with us, why not refresh yourself at our coffee and cocktail bar too – a great place to reflect on your tour through our gallery or meet with friends for a catch up.

If you have any questions about our new art gallery in Brighton, you can contact the Helm team here.
