Mark Machado, better known as ‘Mister Cartoon’ is an American tattoo and graffiti artist based in California. 

As a tattoo artist his unique aesthetic and technical prowess helped define much of the West coast hip-hop scene, with him often being hailed as one of the greatest living tattoo artists in the US. Having been involved with graffiti from an early age he eventually turned his hand to airbrushing lowrider cards and t-shirts before mixing these visuals with elements of California prison tattoo culture.

Mister Cartoon has become well known for tattooing the bodies of celebrities such as 50 Cent, Travis Barker, Beyonce, Shaquille O’neal and Snoop Dogg. He designed the logo for Eminem’s ‘Shady records’ and Eazy-E’s ‘Ruthless records’. His art has been used by Nike, Toyota, Modelo and Grand Theft Auto.
