About the artist

Collection: Graeme Messer

Graeme Messer’s mirrors are playful, provocative and often downright funny. Drawing on his background in theatre, the London-based multidisciplinary artist creates interactive works that challenge how we see ourselves, inviting moments of humour, reflection and unexpected connection.

His mirrors have been exhibited in a solo exhibition at Lights of Soho in London, featured in a commissioned installation for The Other Art Fair in the West End, and shown internationally, including at the Cornell Gallery in Miami. His work is also held in private collections around the world.

Graeme’s mirror pieces are featured in Thames & Hudson’s recent publication, MIRROR MIRROR: An Exploration of the Reflective Surface in Contemporary Art, alongside works by artists including Tracey Emin, Anish Kapoor and Jeff Koons.

Irreverent, thought-provoking and full of humanity, his mirrors offer more than just a reflection. They invite you to take a closer look, question what you see and, above all, not take yourself too seriously.
