Collection: Courtney Sennish

Courtney Sennish is a contemporary sculptor and printmaker based in the San Francisco Bay area. Her output often focuses on repurposing industrial motifs and transforming them through splashes of fluorescent colours and altering their form, giving them new context and meaning as works of art, a process that finds beauty in the mundane.

Courtney's prints are a masterclass in technique, the deceptively simple images being made using aquatint etching and handmade inks, requiring intense care and meticulous preparation. The result is immediately captivating, drawing you in with their electric tones and rewarding closer inspection through subtle changes in colour and texture – bricks and mortar never looked so good.

Her work has been exhibited internationally since 2011. She graduated with an interdisciplinary Master of fine arts from the California College of the Arts in 2015 after acquiring her BFA in printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design. Previously, she also studied in both Japan and Italy.
