It Ain't Over 'Til the Fat Boy Sings

40 years of thrills, spills, beats and repeats

Helm presents It Ain't Over 'Til the Fat Boy Sings, a Fatboy Slim takeover, pop-up shop and exhibition celebrating the release of renowned musician and DJ Fatboy Slim's new book of the same name, chronicling and memorialising his incredible 40-year career in music.

We invite you to the opening party for a night of art, cocktails, merch and iconic music. Alongside a book signing with Fatboy Slim from 7pm, we will be exhibiting a range of his extensive collection of memorabilia, as well as photography by Jessica van der Weert, Chemical X and Mark Vessey, all encompassing his history and influence in music and culture.

Downstairs, artist Ryan Callanan (RYCA) takes over the exhibition hall with his solo show DEEP - Known for referencing acid-house, rave culture and the iconic smiley face imagery synonymous with Fatboy Slim's legacy.

Join us to celebrate on 23rd October - 7pm 'til late. The show will run for 5 weeks until 30th Nov.

About the artist

Jessica van der Weert has become well known for her use of bold colour, her meticulous eye for detail, her creative composition and a genuine interest in human culture that inspires her work. Developing a unique ‘mini film’ approach to photography and storytelling, she recreates everyday scenes, highlighting the small nuances that separate and define our identities.

Her love for photographing people is reflected in iconic portraits of many of the best-known personalities in contemporary British history and culture, especially within the music industry.

Her work has been regularly displayed in galleries and museums across the UK and Europe, and is included in the collections of the Rijkmuseum, the national museum of the Netherlands in Amsterdam, and the 500-year-old portrait gallery of The Royal College of Physicians in London.
