Olive-backed Sunbird - Year of the Dragon (Female)

Rasha Eleyan, a Palestinian artist based in Brighton, UK, is dedicated to preserving heritage through her art, with a focus on the role of revolutionary women.

Her work is shaped by a diverse background, combining cartoon-like drawings from her career at Disney Television in Singapore with realistic paintings from her fine art studies in Jordan and advanced drawing and painting studies in Rome.

Born into a family of artists, including her father, the renowned Palestinian artist Nasr Abdelaziz Eleyan, she draws inspiration from her Palestinian roots, her upbringing in Dubai, and her experiences in Southeast Asia.

Rasha’s work has been exhibited in Singapore and Jordan, and she is now showcasing her art in the UK. In addition to painting, she is a successful motion graphics designer, having contributed to Disney TV and participated in GIFFEST in Singapore.

Her passion for cultural preservation is evident in the creation of the acclaimed Peranakan Culture Heritage Workshop, which has been showcased at prestigious venues such as the Baba House Museum and conducted for hundreds of visitors at the Affordable Art Fair Singapore.
