About the artist
Andy Doig
Andy Doig is a contemporary artist specialising in glass and neon based in Brighton, UK. Andy began glass bending at the British School of Neon in 1992. Under the wings of London’s top specialist House Argon Neon, he started his career working on West End musicals, popular TV and independent film.
Beguiled with the history of neon making, Andy’s practice is all done in house at his studio on Brighton seafront. His work maintains the use of traditional techniques and brings them into the future with an undeniable edge and expert craftsmanship.
Andy produces limited-edition work, original pieces and creates ambitious installations, he has made countless immensely impressive commissions for brands such as Nike and continues to push the boundaries of what neon is capable of. With influence stemming from his surroundings, journeys and personal encounters, Andy's art is always connected to his heart.
