Helm is proud to announce our solo show with contemporary mixed-media artist Magda Archer. The exhibition titled I Don't Know will consist of rare archival works and never before seen pieces, tied together through her trademark wry wit and unflinching humour.
Speaking of the title of the show, Magda says '"I don't know' is a perfectly valid response to just about any question you can be asked. Embracing uncertainty leaves you open to a much broader experience of life, a bigger picture. For me, not knowing doesn't lead to anxiety, rather to a sense of calm and a re-setting of my head to all of life's possibilities."
Coming off the back of several high-profile collaborations including work with Comme des Garçons, Marc Jacobs and Bristolian punk-band IDLES, her one-of-a-kind, eclectic art will be on display from 9.11.23 – 24.12.23 with a private viewing on the opening night from 7-10pm.
During the course of the exhibition there will be several exciting accompanying events and releases including: Live screen-printing, an exclusive posterzine and the rare opportunity to secure advanced copies of her unreleased lyric book with IDLES.
